The Making of a Copper Wire Bangle
Sharing with you my work in progress photographs of my Rustic Raw Copper Bangle. Follow each stage of the making process to create this wrap around paddle bracelet design that has been lightly hammered for a weathered rustic feel. This is one of my most popular designs, where the copper is left untreated for arthritis sufferers. Each design is cold formed, work hardened in a barrel tumbling machine and then goes through different stages of scratch removal and polishing with a flexi-shaft. The finished piece has a professional high polish which creates a sparkly reflective shine! As with all metal, this untreated piece will tarnish and naturally patina over time, it can be revived with a jewellers’ polishing cloth. Hooray!
