Forest Lore Suncatcher WIPs

Woodland Inspired Window Decoration

Sharing with you my work in progress photographs from making this earthy forest themed suncatcher.  Follow the design process below, from the raw copper wire frame work, to the wire wrapping of the beads and the final oxidisation and polish. Visit this design in my web store to find out more.

  • Raw soft copper wire; various gauges.
  • Semi precious gemstone beads: agate, quartz, prehnite, aventurine, fluorite and glass.
  • Liver of sulphur solution to create the dark patina.
  • Polish with a jewellers polishing cloth.
  • Gloss varnish.
