Here’s a look into the copper wire work process during the making of my ‘Fern Frond‘ pendant. This piece celebrates the uncurling fronds of the beautiful woodland fern plant and is adorned with Chinese Jadeite and agate semi-precious gemstones. Mix raw copper wire with hammers, snips, a metal file and grades of sandpaper. View a time-lapse video of the paddle shapes that make up the curly fronds in the design.
Here are the work in progress photographs taken at various stages of the complete design and finishing process, as below.
View the finished piece available to buy as a ‘made to order’ product from the webstore. To view over a variety of other artisan copper wire-work jewellery and craft projects click here, and for my range of downloadable craft tutorials visit this page.
